23/04/2025: Matra Shakti Saves Three Lives: Husband Served in the Indian Army, Wife Created a New Chapter in Humanity

In a moving example of service and sacrifice, the 60-year-old wife of a retired Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), who tragically met with a road traffic accident on Rae Bareli Road, gave the gift of life to three individuals in her final moments.

With immense courage, her husband made the noble decision to donate her organs.

Director Prof R. K. Dhiman congratulated the SOTTO team for it's successful endeavour.

19/04/2025: Dept. of Hepatology Celebrated 'World Liver Day' & Workshop knowledge and awareness about the growing burden of fatty liver diseases

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof RK Dhiman, Director, SGPGI, Professor of Hepatology; Prof Devender Gupta, CMS, SGPGI, and Prof Amit Goel, HOD, Hepatology.

This seminar was attended by more than 100 medical students and young physicians from various medical college.

16-17th April 2025:Dept. of Pathology, SGPGIMS hosted an International Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Gastrointestinal and Gynaecological Pathology

In the inauguration of the International CME, Director, Prof R K Dhiman, stressed the need of more of such specialized courses and training programs. Dr. Shaleen Kumar, Dean, SGPGIMS talked about the strengths of the Institute and the Department of Pathology.Dr Manoj Jain, Head, Dept. of Pathology welcomed the participants and emphasized the role of pathologists in early diagnosis of cancer.

16th April 2025:The department of Hematology, SGPGIMS, Lucknow, organized "Hemophilia Update 2025"

The program was graced by Prof. R K Dhiman, Director, SGPGI, Prof Shaleen Kumar, Dean, SGPGI, Dr Suryanshu Ojha, General Manager, Blood Cell, NHM, Dr Dinesh Chandra, Organizing Secretary, and Prof. Rajesh Kashyap, State Nodal Officer, Hemophilia and Head, Department of Hematology.

More than 90 participants from 26 hemophilia treatment centres and other medical colleges and district hospitals attended the program.

Prof. R.K. Dhiman, Director, SGPGIMS, emphasized the importance of creating inclusive healthcare environments. He stated, "On the occasion of Dr. B.R. These baby feeding rooms are a small yet significant step in supporting the health and wellbeing of mothers and children visiting our hospital."
